D.L. Bliss occupies one of the most dramatic sections of Tahoe's shoreline, where granite boulders drop straight into the clearest lake in North America. The 168 sites across Lester Beach and Calawee Cove fill within hours of opening for the summer season.

The Rubicon Trail — Tahoe's most celebrated hike — starts right at the campground and leads 4.5 miles to Vikingsholm Castle at Emerald Bay. The park's short season (typically late May to September) means every weekend slot is premium.
